Cologne 2018 – Bias and Discrimination This year, the second European Symposium on Societal Challenges in Computational Social Science will cover Bias and Discrimination in Cologne. During the spring semester, Rick Galeano, Billy Spann and I completed a class project resulting in a paper entitled “Analyzing the Starbucks Arrest Controversy on Twitter.”  We submitted our paper to Euro CSS and just received an email notifying us that our paper has been accepted as a poster at the 2nd European Symposium on Societal Challenges in Computational Social Science: Discrimination and Bias.  Preparations for the conference have officially begun.Read More →
